Man convicted of killing VSP special agent faces additional charge

Travis Ball indicted on federal gun charge

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - A man in prison for the shooting death of a Virginia State Police special agent could face another 10 years.

Travis Ball was sentenced to 36 years in prison in October 2018 in the death of Michael Walter.

Ball is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

If convicted the crime carries the potential of 10 years in prison.
