I-95 reopens after fiery crash involving dump truck

HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) - A fiery crash involving a dump truck closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Henrico near Parham Road late Tuesday night.

Virginia State Police say the truck was traveling southbound when it blew a tire, lost control and went through a guardrail into the northbound lanes. The truck then overturned and caught on fire just before 10:30 p.m.

Traffic was diverted onto Parham Road until about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The driver, who was wearing his seat belt, was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

No charges have been filed at this time.
