HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) - Henrico high schools students will now be going to school for the full day after four early-release days in December were changed.
December 17-20 were scheduled to be early-release days due to midterm exams but after taking feedback from families and staff members, students will no longer be released early in order to have more classroom instructional time.
“Henrico Schools’ Division Leadership Team recommended this change after hearing from an HCPS committee studying ways to improve how the school division approaches testing,” a release said.
The change will not affect middle and elementary school students because they are already scheduled for a full day of school.
