4 arrested in fatal shooting of 21-year-old

21-year-old killed in Hopewell shooting

HOPEWELL, Va. (WWBT) - Four people were arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred in Hopewell.

Police responded to the 800 block of Arlington Street for a report of a person having been shot and found the victim, Jaequan Lamonte Johnson, 21, of Hopewell, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Johnson was transported to John Randolph Medical Center and was pronounced dead. His body has been transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for autopsy.

The investigation identified four individuals responsible for the murder of Johnson. All four individuals have been arrested without incident:

  • Aaron Drumheller, 23, of Petersburg, was charged with first-degree murder and 13 additional charges.
  • Shaone Lovett, 23, of Hopewell, was charged with first-degree homicide and three additional felony charges.
  • Dae’kwon Castelle, 21, of Petersburg, was charged with first-degree homicide and three additional felony charges.
  • Zhaquan Fisher, 23, of Hopewell, was charged with first-degree homicide and three additional felony charges.
