PRINCE GEORGE, Va. (WWBT) - Virginia State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Prince George County.

The crash occurred Thursday night just before 11:30 p.m. at mile marker 41.

Police say a Greyhound bus was traveling north on I-95 when an adult male passenger became “extremely agitated.” The man began taking off his clothes and struck the front windshield, causing it to crack. He demanded to be let off the bus.

The driver pulled over to the right shoulder and opened the door for the safety of other passengers.

The man got off the bus, ran to the back and then into the northbound travel lane.

A 2012 Kia Sportage traveling north was unable to avoid the man and struck him. Chauncey W. Kyles, 33, of Macon, Ga., was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Kia, a woman from Midlothian, was not injured in the crash.

No charges will be filed.

The crash remains under investigation.
