Truck catches fire on Route 288

CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - A truck caught fire on Route 288 on Tuesday morning, causing a heavy traffic delay.
Virginia State Police said the fire started at 10:30 a.m. and an F-350 was fully engulfed on southbound 288 near Ironbridge Road.
No one was injured in the fire.
The driver of the truck commented on the NBC12 Facebook page to say the fire started in the engine on the front passenger side. He said he tried to put out the fire before it “blew up.”
