RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Virginia has been named the best state for business in a report by CNBC.
States were analyzed based on 10 criteria.
Virginia ranked first overall and first in workforce and education. The commonwealth was third in business friendliness. Virginia’s lowest ranking was No. 35 in cost of doing business.
Texas, North Carolina, Utah and Washington rounded out the top five. The bottom five states were Rhode Island, Hawaii, Mississippi, Alaska and Louisiana.
