On This Day: The deaths of three U.S. presidents
On this day, America declared its independence, but it's also the day that marks the deaths of presidents Adams, Jefferson, and Monroe.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - As the United States celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Declaration of Independence in 1826, it was sadly the day that two U.S. presidents - John Adams and Thomas Jefferson - died.

Five years later on July 4, President James Monroe died.
