Small earthquake detected in Louisa County
LOUISA, Va. (WWBT) - A 2.1 magnitude earthquake was detected in Louisa County on Thursday afternoon.
According to the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program, the earthquake hit around 2:49 p.m.
The earthquake was 35 miles northwest of Richmond.
This earthquake comes less than eight years after a 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit in Louisa County.
