RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The NBC12 weather team gave you the First Alert several days before Severe Thunderstorms hit Central Virginia on Wednesday.
Now the severe storm threat has ended for the remainder of Wednesday evening in Central Virginia as storms move off the coast.
The primary threats with any storms that developed earlier were damaging wind gusts, hail, frequent lightning, and brief heavy rain.
3pm to 7pm was expected to be the peak time for a severe storm in Richmond and exactly as predicted, storms hit the Richmond area during that time frame.
The rain and storm chance pushed south and east by 7pm.
