RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Westhampton School building on Patterson Avenue is getting a face-lift starting Tuesday.
Back in September, Bons Secours health system announced Thalhimer Realty would take on the $53 million mixed-use project after nearly six years of back and forth over the school’s future.
The mixed-used project includes a residential area with a parking deck, a new 55,000-square-foot outpatient pediatric medical office building, a plaza near the northwest corner of Patterson and Libbie avenues, and renovations and improvements to the school building that was built in 1917.
A groundbreaking ceremony is at 11 a.m.
