RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - We hope you have a nice place to stay cool because it seems like that we’re getting a preview of summer. Another good thing to think about though, after we make it through this week, we can all look forward to a long weekend and shorter work week ahead hopefully!
Dozens gathered to celebrate the recovery of 5-year-old Ke’Miyah Edwards, who was shot in the head while in her front yard in April. The community held a fish fry fundraiser to help the family out. We’re so glad to see she is home and doing so well!
“My baby is here, that’s all that matters,” Ke’Miyah’s mother said.
This might be a tear-jerker so get the tissues if you need them! A Marine from Caroline County surprised his daughter at her graduation. Kailey Gray walked across the stage to get her diploma and went down the steps to a surprise greeting from her father. We LOVE this.
Now, if those two words don’t sound like fun - this might change your mind. Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden has a new interactive exhibit, “Pianos in Bloom,” which features three outdoor piano exhibits on display throughout the garden for visitors to play and enjoy.
If you’re looking for a better place to live than Virginia, there aren’t many options. Virginia found itself ranked No. 7 on the “best states” list, according to an analysis by U.S. News and World Report.
SO CUTE! This 7-month-old basset hound named TootsieRoll is watching the kids play outside! Thanks, Tiffeny Thomas for sharing!
Make sure you drink plenty of water this week - you’re going to need it!
“You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.” - Rabindranath Tagore
