Threat at Thomas Jefferson High School prompts increased police presence
RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Richmond police confirm there will be additional security on hand at Thomas Jefferson High School Friday after a reported threat toward the school.
According to school officials, the threat initially posed a security issue for the school.
“We immediately contacted the Richmond Police Department and worked collaboratively to confirm that the threat was unsubstantiated and that there was no concern for student safety,” said officials via email.
Specifics about the threat were not released.
