RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Losing a loved one can be unbearable, but for Ru Remennikova it’s about how you deal with it.

The Richmond woman is the owner and operator of Pulp Fiction, a food truck with a big meaning.

She serves healthy smoothies and sandwiches. She opened it one year after her father’s death in honor of him after leaving her job in corporate. It’s been almost a year since then.

"It was the most random, shattering, thing I've heard in my life. He’s my best friend," said Remennikova.

He died of a heart attack in his sleep.

"I don't think he's left, yes physically, he's gone, but his energy, I feel it,” she says.

She will continue to carry on his legacy. She’s hoping to open the Pulp Fiction Lakeside Coffee Shop in June.
