STAFFORD, Va. (WWBT) - The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is looking for whomever caused more than $1 million in damage to construction equipment.
Deputies responded to the site on Potomac Creek Drive on May 14 after receiving a report of vandalism of some heavy equipment.
The sheriff’s office said it appeared one excavator was damaged by another excavator at the site, judging by orange paints transfer between the two pieces of machinery. The damage is estimated to be about $1.2 million.
The damaged machine was last known to be in working condition May 11.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 658-4515.
