ALBEMARLE, VA (WWBT) - Western Albemarle High School is testing out a new program to report threats or incidents anonymously.

The anonymous alert app is currently a pilot program that allows students and staff to report things like bullying or weapons at school to administrators -- without them ever knowing who reported it.

Principal Darah Bonham says the app has only been active for a few days, and so far 20 incidents have been reported.

The Albemarle school division plans to roll out the program for other schools in the fall.
