‘Concerning’ graffiti at Henrico school

Henrico police are increasing patrols after “concerning” graffiti was found at Mills E. Godwin High School, located in the 2100 block of Pump Road.

Due to the vandalism, police will increase patrols around the following schools: Freeman and Godwin high schools, Quioccasin and Tuckahoe middle schools and Davis, Pemberton, Pinchbeck and Ridge elementary schools.

The incident remains under investigation.

The Henrico County Police Division will honor officers killed in the line of duty today at 5:30 p.m.

The service will be held at the Police Memorial Park at the Western Henrico County Government Center on Parham Road.

Possible meth lab

Chesterfield police are investigating a possible meth lab in an apartment building in the 6700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway.

Police were originally called for the report of a vacant apartment being occupied. Officials said officers at the scene found “suspicious items."

Suspect wanted in Mother’s Day homicide

Police are searching for 29-year-old Darren Damion Douglas, of Richmond.

Douglas is a suspect in an early morning Mother’s Day homicide that occurred in the 7400 block of Midlothian Turnpike.

Son of woman found dead speaks out

The son of 53-year-old Suzanna Fairman, Scott Fairman, is speaking out about his mother’s death.

Fairman was found dead in her home off Tanglewood Road on Thursday night.
