RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Sunday is a First Alert Weather Day for scattered strong storms during the afternoon and evening.
We have been downgraded to a marginal risk south of I-64 for severe storms, a 1 out of 5 on the severe weather risk scale (it was a slight risk this morning).
Main concerns with storms that develop during this time frame will be heavy rain, gusty winds, hail and an isolated tornado can’t be ruled out. Clouds during the morning and afternoon should help limit instability. Any breaks in the clouds during the day will help fuel storms.
Severe weather looks most likely between 7pm and 11pm this evening.
