National Weather Service confirms two tornadoes in Virginia this past weekend

(WWBT) - The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado hit Suffolk on Saturday.

The NWS in Blacksburg has confirmed that a separate tornado hit Campbell County on Saturday.

The NWS in Blacksburg is surveying the damage near the area of Gladys/Red House in Campbell County. Two structures and a camper were reported damaged, along with multiple trees down and debris in the area. No injuries were reported.

The storm passed through the area around 4:30 p.m.

According to reports, a total of 14 homes and 6 businesses were damaged by the other tornado that hit the City of Suffolk.
