CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Chesterfield County plans to build a new pet adoption center on Hull Street Road.
The board of supervisors approved the $13 million project, which will also include either an extensive renovation or replacement of the county’s 44-year-old animal shelter. The adoption center will be next to the LaPrade public library.
The goal is to make the facility more visible to drivers in the hope that more pets will be adopted. There is no word yet on when it will open.
