RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - One 9-year-old boy’s dream to become a SWAT team member was fulfilled for Make-A-Wish day.

Wish Granted!

Tracy Sears with WTVR CBS 6 News was the host this morning for a heart-warming Make-a-Wish reveal! Matthew Martinez was thrilled and surprised at the ceremony and enjoyed walking with the SWAT team afterwards. Tomorrow will be even better! Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia

Matthew Martinez, who is battling cystic fibrosis, was sworn in as a member of the Richmond Police Department SWAT team on Sunday.

RPD said his swearing-in ceremony was planned for months with Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia.
