FRIDAY: First Alert Weather Day for afternoon severe thunderstorm potential. It is a “SLIGHT” risk from the Storm Prediction Center for strong to severe storms. It’s something to watch during the afternoon through early evening. Peak timing for Central VA will be between Noon and 6pm. A few strong or severe storms are likely. Mostly cloudy with a stray shower in the morning. A round of thunderstorms likely in the afternoon. Dry after sunset. Highs in the mid 70s. (Rain Chance afternoon: 90%)
