Azaan Delp, also known as Richmond’s baby Steph Curry, got the chance to meet the real Steph Curry. The 7-year-old basketball prodigy’s story was seen by Steph Curry’s management team. The team flew Delp and his family out to California for an all expenses paid trip to a Golden State Warriors home game.
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office donated a bicycle to a man who had his stolen. The man, Mr. Cunningham, had been walking from Fredericksburg to his Spotsylvania County job every day. The sheriff’s office surprised Cunningham with a bike, helmet, lock and a Walmart gift card.
Goodwill’s newly renovated Community Employment Center has officially opened along Midlothian Turnpike. The center will bring new opportunities for thousands of people in need of jobs in the central and coastal Virginia area.
One Chesterfield family reunited with their two dogs that escaped a fenced-in yard. Dude the Mastiff and his brother, Leo, were rescued by Angi Hamer on Tuesday morning, when she saw Dude motionless in the middle of Route 288. Hamer said a woman named Diane and another unnamed good Samaritan stopped to make sure the dogs were safe.
Henrico fourth-grader Catherine Conner created a kindness club after seeing a young girl being bullied on the playground at the beginning of the school year. So far, the group has performed a skit about bullying and how to stop it, created kindness rocks around campus with kindness reminders on them and they’re currently writing a book on kindness to put in the school’s library.
A couple is grateful after a Chesterfield police officer sprang into action to save their daughter’s life. Jared Christopher Moore and his fiancée, Ashlee Hubbard, were eating at the Chick-fil-A when their 7-month-old daughter, Ava, began choking on a fry. Chesterfield officer Christopher King saw what was happening, and dislodged the fry from Ava’s throat.
