Richmond police search for vehicle possibly involved in deadly hit-and-run

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond police are searching for a vehicle possibly involved in a hit-and-run early Saturday morning that left a woman dead.

Police responded to the 2200 block of Fairmount Avenue at 2:33 a.m. on April 20, for reports of a person down.

Once on scene, officers found Yvonne D. Charity, 43, in the middle of the roadway.

She was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police said she died shortly after.
