8:18pm update: Severe storm threat is lifting NORTH and EAST of Richmond, Henrico, Hanover and Chesterfield. Still tracking severe weather for the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.

FRIDAY EVENING: First Alert Weather Day for Scattered showers and strong to severe storms likely. Heavy rain, strong gusty winds and a few tornadoes again later in this afternoon and evening.
