SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office donated a bicycle to a man who had his stolen and had been walking to work.

The sheriff’s office said the man, identified as Mr. Cunningham, had his bicycle stolen while he was at work April 8.

Cunningham is dependent on the bicycle due to a traumatic brain injury he suffered in a car wreck. Because of that injury, he is unable to obtain a driver’s license.

Without the bicycle, he had been walking from Fredericksburg to his job in Spotsylvania County every day.

On Thursday, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office surprised Cunningham at his workplace with a bicycle, helmet, lock and a Walmart gift card.
