Chesterfield police recruit follows in father’s footsteps

CHESTERFIED, VA (WWBT) - One Chesterfield police recruit has been a part of the Chesterfield County Police Department since he was 5 years old.

Recruit Kimenhour was only 5 years old when his father started the Chesterfield police academy.

Kimenhour was recently issued his patrol car, one much older than those of his peers.

The vehicle was a hand-me-down from his father, who is now a sergeant in the Chesterfield County Police Department.

This recruit got issued an older car than his peers. Why is he smiling? Meet Recruit Kimenhour. He has been a part of our police fam since age five, when his dad started our academy.
