STAFFORD COUNTY, VA (WWBT) - A Richmond man wanted in Henrico County for not paying child support was arrested in Stafford County for driving under the influence.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a disturbance outside Yak-A-Doo’s restaurant around 2:12 a.m. on Sunday.
When deputies got there, they found several people trying to restrain Eric Christopher Hence, 38, and told them they were trying to get him into the passenger seat of a car to be driven home.
Deputies told Hence that he would be arrested for public intoxication if he did not get in the vehicle and leave. Hence complied with their command.
A short time later, deputies got a call that Hence was leaving the Wawa on South Gateway Drive.
Hence was pulled over and a field sobriety test was given. He was then arrested on suspect for DUI.
He is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail and is charged with driving under the influence and driving with a revoked license.
Hence also had a warrant for failure to pay child support out of Henrico County.
