Henrico parents given more time to discuss upcoming school budget
Henrico Public Schools says it will hold two more stakeholders’ meetings next week in addition to the meeting scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 13.

HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - Parents of students in Henrico have additional time to share thoughts on the upcoming school budget for the 2019-2020 school year.

In a release from Henrico County Public Schools sent Wednesday, the district says it will hold two more stakeholders’ meetings next week in addition to the meeting scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 13.

The newly added sessions, both taking place at 6:30 p.m. in two separate locations. are open to the public and will allow county residents to provide input directly to the School Board on a proposed 2019-2020 school budget, before it is released in January.

The stakeholders' meetings will feature short presentations by HCPS staff, followed by the open mic portion.

The locations for the Dec. 18 meeting are as follows:

  • Libbie Mill Branch Library, 2100 Libbie Lake East St.
  • Eastern Henrico Recreation Center, 1440 N Laburnum Ave.
