CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - A fuel leak at a gas station in Chesterfield caused quite a mess Tuesday morning.
Fire crews were called to the Exxon on Belmont Road near Turner Road around 2 a.m. after a tow truck driver noticed the leak.
Officials on scene say it started in an underground fuel tank; they estimate 50 to 60 gallons spilled in the parking lot.
Crews used absorbent powder and pads to clean up the fuel.
Customers will not be able to get gas there for a while, but the convenience store will be open.
