RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Officials from the Department of Environmental Quality are expected to test soil samples from the site of a tanker crash on I-95.

More than 2,000 gallons of diesel fuel spilled out of this tanker when it crashed while attempting to avoid a loose tire on the highway this afternoon.

The driver of the tractor trailer who lost the tire, which caused the crash, has been charged with defective equipment.

If the soil is found to be contaminated it will be removed.
