HENRICO, VA (WWBT) - The Red Cross is helping eight Henrico families today whose homes were destroyed by a fire at the Honey Tree Apartments.

Four people were injured in the blaze and taken to the hospital. Two firefighters also suffered burns.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Meanwhile, the Red Cross says their resources are vanishing because fewer people are donating money during the economic crisis. The organization is helping 65 people affected by two fires on Sunday.

Anyone wishing to help can donate directly to the Red Cross by calling 780-2250.

Those interested can also find more information on the Red Cross' website here.
