Henrico Police investigate overnight shootings

HENRICO, VA (NBC12) - Two overnight shootings have left police in Henrico with more questions than answers.

The first happened around 6:30 Saturday night on Newbridge Road near Woodpost Drive.

Police say they received several calls of gunfire being exchanged between two vehicles in the area.

However when officers arrived they found no shooter, victim or even evidence of a shooting.

The second incident happened shortly after 7:00 p.m.

Police say a 25-year-old man walked into the VCU Medical Center emergency room with a gunshot wound to his right arm.

When questioned, the victim said he was walking in the 1900 block of Hobson Lane when he was shot.

Police visited the scene and found several shell casings and a home with several bullet holes.

No other injuries were reported.

Police say they have no suspects in either incident but urge anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 780-1000.
