Arrest in attempted robbery

HOPEWELL, VA (WWBT) - Two men are behind bars following an attempted robbery at the Cigarette City store on Cavalier Square in Hopewell.

It happened Saturday morning. Police say 25-year-old Roshand Williams went into the store with a knife, but ran off when the clerk sounded an alarm. Police tracked him down and arrested him and 22-year-old Clarence Williams in his car.

Both face a number of charges including conspiracy to commit robbery and possession of cocaine.
