VA Assistant Attorney General charged with drug possession

RICHMOND, VA (NBC12) - A Virginia Assistant Attorney General is in trouble tonight, facing drug and weapon charges.

46-year-old Steven Lederman is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon.

Norfolk Police say they found marijuana in Lederman's van wrapped up as a christmas present.

A spokesperson for the Attorney General's Office says Lederman is suspended pending further investigation.
