CHESTERFIELD, VA (WWBT) - Two Chesterfield students are suing staff members at Monacan High School, alleging physical and emotional abuse.

The students are suing the girls' head basketball coach, as well as the school's athletic director and principal.

The students say the coach, Larry Starr, verbally abused and harassed them over a period of time and nothing was done when they reported it to the school's administration.

The students are seeking a total of about $1 million in damages.

A spokesperson with Chesterfield County Schools would not comment on the pending lawsuit.
