RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Virginia may get several billions of dollars from the federal stimulus package.

Counting tax cuts and direct benefits the feds would pay to individuals, the house appropriations committee staff estimates that about 11 billion dollars will flow to Virginia from the recovery package.

Members of the committee were told today that the biggest shares of the recovery packages will be earmarked for public schools, medicaid and transportation.
