HENRICO, VA (NBC12) - Thedieck Leon Walker who goes by Leon is wanted for a rape and abduction that took place in Henrico's east end.
Henrico County Police worked throughout Friday night to try and catch up with Walker.
Because of his violent criminal history, including a previous attempted murder charge, police were careful when they showed up at his house.
On Friday, January 23rd, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The charges: rape and abuduction with intent to defile.
"That's basically where they prevented the victim from leaving the scene," said Henrico County Police Lt. Greg Dillard.
Police say the violent crimes happened at his home in the 3200 block of Aldersgate Drive.
That's in Henrico County's east end not too far from the racetrack.
When police learned of the crimes they went to his home in an attempting arrest Walker.
"Last night (Friday) we had some officers that attempted to serve the warrants that were on file," Lt. Dillard said. "When they got to the residence here at 3200 Aldersgate, they had some indications that he might be inside the house."
Walker is no stranger to police.
Authorities tell us they pulled out all the stops to try and catch him.
"Due to his history, we deployed the SWAT team," said Lt. Dillard. "We got a search warrant, when we made entry into the house, he was not inside."
Henrico Police searched for Walker throughout the night and at several points say they even had phone contact with him.
When morning came there was still no arrest.
Police tell us Leon Walker knew his female victim.
She did not live at the home on Aldersgate Drive.
Police do believe that Walker is still in the Richmond area.
