More details released in Virginia Tech homicide

BLACKSBURG, VA (NBC12) - Virginia Tech Police obtained computer files and other evidence in searches of the homes of a Virginia Tech graduate student and the fellow chinese student he is charged with decapitating.

Haiyang Zhu is being held without bond on a charge of first-degree murder in the kitchen-knife slaying of 22-year-old Xin Yang.

She was found decapitated in a campus cafe Wednesday night.

At least one item listed in documents filed Friday in Montgomery County circuit court indicated some relationship between the two.

A preliminary hearing for the suspect is scheduled for March 5th.
