This event is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required for each admission. Tickets are available only at the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia (00 Clay Street, Richmond; 804-780-9093) and at the Science Museum of Virginia (2500 W. Broad Street, Richmond; 804-864-1400) starting on January 14, 2009. Seating is limited, and tickets will be distributed on a first come, first served basis. Tickets will only be distributed to adults, 18 years of age and over; each adult is limited to receiving 1 pair of tickets. Tickets are not for resale.
Event doors open at 10:30 a.m. on Inauguration Day. Organizer introductions and comments will begin no later than 11:15 a.m., with the Inauguration Ceremony scheduled to begin, in Washington, D.C., at 11:30 a.m. Barack Obama will be sworn in as the nation's 44th president at 12:00 noon.
The viewing will take place in the Science Museum of Virginia's Atrium Room, on the Museum's lower level. Elevators are available, and greeters will be on hand to direct ticket holders to their destination. There is on-site parking adjacent to the Museum. Additional parking is available in another Museum lot, located at the corner of Leigh Street and DMV Drive.

Inauguration Day Interfaith Service of Prayer & Music at St. Paul's Featuring Gospel Sensations Maggie Ingram & the Ingramettes Inaugural ceremony will be broadcast in Parish Hall after the service.
On Inauguration Day, Tuesday, January 20, 2009, St. Paul's Episcopal Church will host an interfaith service of prayer and music followed by a broadcast of the swearing-in ceremony. Among those leading the prayer service will be The Rev. D. Wallace Adams-Riley (St. Paul's), Anjum Ali (Virginia Muslim Coalition), The Rev. Dr. Yvonne Jones Bibbs (Sixth Baptist Church), and Rabbi Ben Romer (Congregation Or Ami). Leading the music will be gospel sensations Maggie Ingram and the Ingramettes, the award-winning Richmond-based group recently featured on stage at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
The prayer service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and end in time for interested participants to head to Parish Hall to watch a broadcast of the Presidential swearing-in ceremony and inaugural address (program begins at 11:30 a.m.). The day will conclude with a chorus of patriotic hymns. Light refreshments will be available in Parish Hall and guests are welcome to bring a lunch.
Throughout its more than 160 years, St. Paul's Episcopal Church has been the site of historic events, helping the people of the Commonwealth affirm the connection between their faith and their commitment to democracy, including the pre-inaugural prayer service for L. Douglas Wilder, America's first elected African-American State Governor, on January 13, 1990, as well as pre-inaugural services for Charles S. Robb, 64th Governor of Virginia, Gerald L. Baliles, 65th Governor of Virginia, and others.

WHAT: The Saint Paul's Baptist Church will host a Live Presidential Inaugural Celebration. Dreams from our past... Destined for now!! Come out and celebrate the fulfilled dream at our Live Inaugural Viewing Party.
There will be Obama and Inaugural trivia with giveaways and viewing of the Inauguration Ceremony.
All are welcomed to attend. The cost is FREE. Families, businesses and schools are welcomed. Lunch will be available for purchase ($10.00 buffet). Lunch must be paid for in advance.
