NORFOLK, VA (WWBT) - Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe officially announced his bid for Virginia Governor Wednesday.

McAuliffe kicked off a four-dar, 16-stop tour in Norfolk Wednesday morning.

He plans to tout his business credentials and pledge a non-partisan approach to creating jobs in a bleak economy.

Former Delegate Brian Moran and State Sen. Creigh Deeds entered the race for governor early last year.

McAuliffe is a former top adviser to the Clinton administration and a prolific fundraiser whose national donor base could infuse the race with tens of millions of dollars.
