Richmond police search for suspects in several recent bank robberies

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond police are searching for several men and women suspected of robbing banks over the past few weeks.

The most recent incident happened on Jan. 5 at the SunTrust bank on West Broad Street. A man came into the bank around 3:45 p.m., gave the teller a note and then took off with cash. Police say the suspect didn't display a weapon.

At that same SunTrust on West broad Street, a woman made off with an undiscolsed amount of money on Dec. 22. Police say the suspect is in her mid-30s and did not display a weapon.

Another man robbed SunTrust bank on East Main Street on Dec. 19 just before 5:30 p.m. Police say that suspect also didn't display a weapon.

Finally, police are searching for a man who robbed the Wachovia Bank on Cary Street on Dec. 19 just before 9:30 a.m. Police say that suspect also gave the teller a note and did not display a weapon. The man is described as wearing gold glasses.
