Grand jury indicts 3 Richmond police officers

RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - A grand jury today handed down indictments of obstruction of justice to three Richmond police officers, special prosecutor Tom Shia says.

The case stems from an incident more than a year ago in which off-duty officer Ian McClosky was accused of attacking a man in a bar.

McClosky - along with William House and Floyd Campbell, the officers who responded to the scene - are accused of attempting to cover up the incident.

House was arraigned last week and there's no word yet on his next court date.

Campbell is in the armed forces on active duty and there's no word yet on his next court date, but it could be in June or July.

McClosky will be arraigned on Wednesday.

There's no word on whether the officers still work for the police department.
