CHESTERFIELD, VA (NBC12) - A retired Chesterfield County firefighter killed in a hunting accident last weekend was laid to rest Friday.
Hundreds of mourners, including a long line of firefighters, assembled at Matoaca Baptist Church to remember Frank Marsee, Jr.
Marsee was on a hunting trip with friends when he accidentally shot himself in the thigh. He was with the department for nearly 25 years.
Many of Chesterfield's active firefighters remember him as a teacher and mentor.
