Richmond, Va. (AP) - A new flyover bridge linking Interstates 64 and 295 outside Richmond is expected to open in February.
The bridge is part of a $67 million flyover project designed to improve traffic flow in the Short Pump area west of Richmond.
The Virginia Department of Transportation said Wednesday that the overall project is expected to be completed in May.
VDOT said it is working with the contractor to address specification compliance issues that must be resolved before the bridge is opened to traffic.
The existing interchange will remain open until the bridge is opened to traffic.
