Less than a third of americans have gotten a flu shot this year, far below what the C-D-C recommends. A study by the Rand Corporation finds only 30 percent of adults surveyed had gotten a flu shot.
More than fifty percent did *not* plan on getting vaccinated at all. Of the people who had not gotten a flu shot, most said they didn't have time. Others said they didn't need one.
The C-D-C recommends roughly 85 percent of the population, including all children over 6 months, get a flu shot.
