Chesterfield County, Va. (NBC12) - Chesterfield investigators are looking into what caused a fire that damaged a family home while the residents were away.
The fire started at around 5:00 p.m. at 3203 Holly Glen Court.
It took 15 firefighters to get it under control.
Crews were able to get it contained in about half an hour.
One room was burned and the rest of the home received a lot of smoke damage.
Officials say the situation could have been much worse.
