Virginia summit to examine global marketplace

The global marketplace will turn to the University of Virginia in September when financial leaders from around the world meet in Charlottesville.
Officials from the U.S., Germany, France, Spain, and Asian and African nations will participate in the conference, "The New Financial Architecture: A Global Summit.''
Former U.S. Treasury Secretary John W. Snow will moderate the summit. The attendees will all be former top finance ministers.
Former Virginia Gov. Gerald Baliles is director of the Miller Center of Public Affairs, and he promises a "frank and unfettered'' discussion by leaders no longer bound by the
constraints of their office.
The summit is scheduled for September 7th-9th.
