A new reports finds there are plenty of summer jobs for high school and college students.
For the first time in nine months, the state jobless rate declined - primarily on the strength of seasonal jobs that will be gobbled up by high school and college students.
Virginia's unemployment rate also dropped 3.3 percent, which is down by more than half a percent.
Many of the new jobs that have become available are at amusement parks, fast food restaurants and other retail establishments.
The Virginia Employment Commission report also says springtime events and tours, and a amusement parks put close to 6,000 new jobs on the market in May alone.
