RICHMOND, VA (WWBT) - Richmond Animal Care and Control has legally gained custody over six animals taken in the raid of an animal boarding facility last month.

Animal control officers say they found the animals - five dogs and one cat - starving "with their ribs, hips and pelvic bones protruding."

No charges have been filed yet for the owner of the facility - Joseph Meyers - as the investigation continues.

If you're interested in adopting any of the animals, contact RACC.

RACC says it will have a $13 adoption fee on Friday, April 13.
